Plot: The sequel will continue the story of Sarah, who as the only survivor of an all-female caving expedition gone horrifically wrong, suffers severe psychological trauma. Unable to speak, she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave, but events once again take a sinister turn.THE DESCENT 2 picks up immediately after the events depicted in THE DESCENT Sarah (MacDonald), emerges alone from a cave system following an expedition with her five friends in the Appalachian mountains. Distraught, injured and covered in the blood of her missing companions, Sarah is incoherent and half-wild with fear. Skeptical about her account of events and convinced Sarah’s psychosis hides far darker secrets, Sheriff Vaines forces her back into the caves to help locate the rest of the group. Trapped by falling rocks, the rescue party are driven deep into the caverns, and as one by one the fate of the missing girls is revealed, Sarah is forced to confront her deepest fears.

Plot: Shortly after the events of the first film, a medical officer and a GEO team, equipped with video cameras, are sent into the quarantined apartment building to control the situation. After encountering some of the infected, the man from CDC uses something religious to fight them off. Surprisingly, it works. It turns out that the man from CDC is actually a priest sent by the church to get a blood sample from the Medeiros girl. When they get to the attic, they find out that the infected can travel all around the building through the air ducts. The Medeiros girl is nowhere to be found. One of the GEO’s goes up to the air duct and finds a sample of her blood – the only one that the original priest took from her. The priest then does something religious with some of it, and it explodes, confirming that it IS the blood he’s looking for; however, the SWAT member holding the rest of the blood drops it because of the explosion, rendering it useless. They then are forced to get the blood sample from the Medeiros girl herself…

Plot: A Brazilian native and a Quebecoise stripper form a mutually beneficial friendship in this drama from French/Canadian filmmaker Guylaine Dionne. Brazilian student Priscilla Paredes was studying in Montreal when her student visa expired. Now, Priscilla’s only hope for remaining in Canada is to go to work as a stripper at Elixir, a seedy downtown strip club. There, the desperate illegal comes into contact with local dancer Milagro. Ironically, Milagro longs to go to Brazil, and the two dancers strike up a warm friendship based on their tenuous connection. Later, as Milagro welcomes Priscilla into her secret life and introduces her to her young daughter Chloé, Priscilla returns the favor by teaching her new friend how to fight for what she wants no matter what the cost.
